In Hatha yoga the emphasis is on physical practice-asanas or poses, pranayama (breathing exercises) and relaxation.
Medical research has uncovered many physical and mental benefits that Yoga offers. Regular Yoga practice is beneficial for physical fitness, musculoskeletal functioning and cardio-vascular health. It is beneficial in the management of diabetes, respiratory disorders, hypertension, and many other lifestyle related disorders. Yoga helps to reduce depression, fatigue, insomnia, anxiety and stress.
I can vouch from my own experiences that Yoga has changed my lifestyle both in body and mind. I develop this personal experience in the approach to my classes.
